Tanudan, Kalinga – Teams responsible for overseeing and spearheading the implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program in Lower and Upper Taloctoc, Tanudan, were organized and oriented on January 29, 2024.

The Retooled Community Support Program or RCSP was conceptualized to support the objectives of Executive Order 70, which aims to integrate the efforts of the national and local government and stakeholders in delivering basic services and social development packages to threatened and conflict-affected areas.

The RCSP aims to address the issues identified by the communities through the provision of government projects.

As the program implementation progresses, the Tanudan Local Government Unit, headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, convened the heads of offices, barangay officials of Lower and Upper Taloctoc, lupons, ABC President, SK Federation president, personnel from various national line agencies, and stakeholders on Monday at the Davidson Hotel.

On said day, members of the four teams were oriented by the Department of the Interior and Local Government about the RCSP program and its implementation.

Attendees of the event now compose the four teams of RCSP – the Basic Service Delivery Team; Citizens and Community Participation Team; Peace, Law Enforcement and Development Support Team; and the RCSP Core Team.

Now that the said groups have been organized, the teams will be moving forward to the second phase of the RCSP, which will include the gathering of ‘first-hand information on the contexts, key issues, and preferred resolutions to the ills of the target communities’.
