Teenager killed as motorcycle crashes into van in Cauayan, Isabela

Cauayan City, Isabela - A teenager died after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a road accident on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Cauayan City, Isabela.

The casualty was identified as Daryl Bajade, 19, a resident of Barangay Maligaya, Cauayan City.

A police report disclosed that Bajade was then traversing the road in Barangay District 1 morning of said day when he met the tragic accident.

Riding his motorcycle, Bajade allegedly encroached on the opposite lane of the road causing him to hit the oncoming van.

The van driver was identified as James Gannaban, 39, a resident of Tumauini, Isabela.

Due to the incident, Bajade sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital by the responding authorities, but he was not able to survive.

At present, Gannaban is in the custody of Cauayan City Police Station for proper disposition and documentation. He will be facing possible charges against him.
