No date on Valentine’s Day? Maybe that’s because you haven’t been to the Province of Cagayan.

Based on data from the Philippine Statistics Authority Region 2, as cited by the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, there are a total of 381,668 individuals who are single or have not yet been married in the province.

Of this figure, 209,500 are men, and the remaining 172,168 are women.

Most of these singles are found in Tuguegarao City, with 52,441 of them residing in the area; followed by Solana with 26,355 unmarried people; Baggao with 25,741; and Aparri with 21,808.

It is noted that most of the 381,668 single people in the province remain unmarried by choice and that they want to focus on attaining their goals.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority survey in 2020, 34.26 million persons have never been married in the country. This indicates that 4 out of 10 people are single.
