Thieves break car’s window in Tabuk City, steal cash

Tabuk City, Kalinga – It appears there is not many safe places to leave your belongings, not even in a securely parked car in broad daylight.

Among the latest victims of thieves in Tabuk City is a 25-year-old woman who lost her belongings to these unscrupulous people just a day before Christmas.

The victim told the police that she and her family headed to the Bulanao Public Market on December 24. At that time, she parked her car under the Acacia tree near the Bulanao cell site before heading off to buy goods at 8:40 a.m.

After approximately two hours, the woman and her family were about to go home, but they were surprised to discover that the window of the car’s front passenger’s seat was broken.

Right then, they realized that the 25-year-old’s bag which she left at the passenger’s seat was stolen. Said item contained P15,000 cash, atm card, and other valuables.

Investigation of the case is ongoing.
