Tinglayan did clean-up drive along Chico River on Water Day

Tinglayan, Kalinga – In support of the sustainable management of freshwater resources, Tinglayan employees conducted clean-up drive along Chico River on March 25, 2022.

Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer Pacita Dangi, through Municipal Information Office, stressed that the activity done in observance of the World Water Day is also an opportunity to reflect on the state of their environment.

“The Chico River is our source of life. Nu datayu pay mismo ti agrugrugit ket madi met nga kitkitan…Nagpintas ngay nga kitkitan nu everybody ngay ket concern tayo ti panag-conserve ken protection ti environment tayu. If our sources of water ngay ket nalinis and clean ket siyempre sure ka met a nga ti environment ket masus-sustain. Kuna da garud, "Water is life, "stated Dangi.

Personnel of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and barangay LGU joined the MLGU the Environmental Management Bureau- Cordillera Administrative Region (EMB-CAR) in the simultaneous cleaning in Luplupa, Poblacion, Old Tinglayan and Ambato.
