Tinglayan hosts DepEd Kalinga’s ManCom Meeting

Tinglayan, Kalinga – The Municipality of Tinglayan hosted on Wednesday, September 21 the Division Management Committee Meeting of the Department of Education -Kalinga held at Tinglayan Central School.

The ManCom meeting attended by 192 school heads and division personnel of DepEd-Kalinga is an avenue for Kalinga Education leaders to discuss updates from regional meetings and from the regional ManCom as well as issues and concerns related to the delivery of quality education to learners.


Schools Division Superintendent, Amador D. Garcia, during the opening program, said this is the first time in his term as superintendent of Kalinga that the Division ManCom meeting is held outside the Division office due to the two-year pandemic.


He then expressed his thanks to the host school and to the host municipality for their warm welcome and for allowing them to be part of their commitment to delivering quality education through crafting plans and programs that would impact learners being the end beneficiary.

Meantime, Tinglayan Mayor Sacrament Gumilab, in a privilege speech during the meeting, expressed his gratitude to DepEd-Kalinga Division for choosing the municipality as the host.


"We are very glad that we are in the midst of the great minds of DepEd Kalinga. I am convinced that when great minds come together, surely great things happen. I am optimistic this meeting would bring out better plans and programs for the good of our children’s education,” he told the school heads.

He added that as planners and implementers of developments in schools, their actions have a big impact on the success of delivering quality education.


He then reaffirmed the agency his support for their programs and projects highlighting that the LGU’s partnership with them will strengthen and enhance services ‘for the common goal of educating the youth’.
