Tinglayan, Kalinga crowns its “Tongrayan-Umunno-unnoy” Ambassador, Ambassadress 2023

Tinglayan, Kalinga - With the candidates’ impressive performances in various categories, Tinglayan National High School is the back-to-back winner in the search for “‘Tongrayan Umunno-unnoy Ambassador and Ambassadress”.

 

This year’s representatives for the second year of the search shall be taking on roles in promoting the active participation of the youth in various government programs in Tinglayan.

 

They are Elias Dawing and Kemmy Ngo-oc.

 

Aside from the title, Elias snatched the ‘Best in Production Number’, “Mr. Indigenous Talent”, “Best in Recycled Formal Attire”, and “Mr. Photogenic” awards.

 

For Kemmy, she took home the “Best in Recycled Formal Attire” award.

 

The duo were also this year’s winners for the Best in Tourism and Product Promotion video.

 

Other winners

 

For other winners, the representatives of Bangad National High School, Churchhill Banglag, and Lovelyn Balawan were both first runner-up, gaining the title 'Mr. and Ms. Pumor-Asan'.

 

The two also bagged the 'Best in Tongrayan Umunno-unoy Advocacy Video, while Balawan got the 'Best in Production Number' award.

 

For the second runner-up or the 'Mr. and Ms. Tourism' title, this was won by Michelle Wanson and Jeshua Jan Agod of Saint Theresita's High School.

 

Agod also earned the 'Best in Recycled Formal Attire' in the male category.

 

Meanwhile, the third runner-up or the 'Mr. and Ms. Fachang' title was won by Ednorie Solinon and Daniel Kyle Suarez of Sumadel National High School.

 

The basis for judging the winners included their production number, indigenous talent, recycled formal attire, and the question-and-answer portion.

 

Pre-pageant activities such as school tours, the advocacy and community participation video, and the product and tourism promotion video were also given ratings and added to the overall score.

 

The winners and runners-up, along with the schools they represented, received cash prizes apart from the titles and plaques.
