Tinglayan launches ‘Resbakuna Kids’ for children ages 5 to 11

Tinglayan, Kalinga – The Municipality of Tinglayan launched on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 its ‘Resbakuna Kids’ campaign for children ages 5 to 11 to ensure protection especially with the gradual reopening of face-to-face classes.

Provincial Health Office joined force with Provincial Department of Health, Kalinga Provincial Hospital, Pinukpuk District Hospital, Tinglayan health workers and other partner agencies during the event held at the Municipal Tribal Gymnasium.

Unlike the usual vaccination programs conducted, the venue for the ‘Resbakuna Kids’ was turned into party-like to entertain the children.

Municipal Information Officer Larae Lactao disclosed that a total of 97 kids aged 5 to 11 were inoculated during the launching of the said campaign.

Meanwhile, seven (7) minors under the age bracket of 12 to 17 got their first dose of COVID-19 shots in the same event.

According to Lactao the next schedule will probably be after three (3) weeks following the prescribed gap for the children to receive their second dose.

The Bureau of Fire Protection and Philippine National police likewise deployed personnel to help with the vaccination.
