Tabuk City, Kalinga –Highlighting the importance of the youth's role in shaping their own future, Governor James Edduba encouraged the student workers during the orientation of the first batch of beneficiaries of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES).

The event took place on Monday, July 1, at the Conference Hall, Enterprise Building in Bulanao, Tabuk City.

During the orientation, the governor urged the iKalinga youth to view their future as a blank ‘canvas’, waiting to be filled with meaningful experiences and achievements.

"Today's actions will determine the outcome of your future. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way to create a beautiful canvas," he said.

After the orientation, the beneficiaries officially started work at the offices where they were assigned. They will render services for 20 days with a daily wage of P53
