‘Tongrayan Umunno-unnoy’ Ambassador, Ambassadress in Tinglayan to be crowned on Dec. 19

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Come December 19, the local government unit of Tinglayan will be crowning its ‘Tongrayan Umunno-unnoy’ ambassador and ambassadress at the Tinglayan Municipal Gym.

Now in its second year, the search looks for youth representatives among secondary schools in the locality to improve awareness and participation in the different programs of the municipality in terms of health and sanitation, social welfare, tourism, culture and arts, peace and order, disaster preparedness, and its economic sector.

The winners shall be the municipality’s youth ambassador and ambassadress to promote the active participation of the youth in said government programs towards attaining the locality’s dream of a more developed Tinglayan.

 Candidates for this year are Daniel Kyle Suarez and Ednorie Solinon from Sumadel National High School; Churchill Banglag and Lovelyn Balawan from Bangad National High School; Jeshua Jan Agod and Michelle Wanson from Saint Theresita High School; and Elias Dawing and Kemmy Ngo-oc from Tinglayan National High School.

The winners and runners-up are entitled to cash prizes to be announced during the final night.

The schools they are representing shall likewise receive monetary prizes from the local government unit.

Awards such as  ‘Best in School Awareness Tour’, ‘Best in Product Promotion Video’, ‘Best Advocacy Speech Video’, ‘Best in Production’, ‘Best in Indigenous Talent’, Best Nature Attire, and the Most Photogenic Award shall also be given to deserving candidates.

Those who garnered the most votes from netizens in some of the categories through reactions to videos posted on the local government’s Facebook page are the ones who will be getting some of the awards.
