Too much love kills: 31-yr.-old man in Cagayan hangs self after split with live-in partner

Claveria, Cagayan - A toddler in Cagayan will grow up without a father after his 31-year-old dad claimed his own life by hanging himself from a tree in the early morning of Monday, August 19.

An investigation conducted by the Claveria PNP revealed that the father, hidden by the name “Mark”, was experiencing depression after his live-in partner left him.

It was recounted that Mark was intoxicated and had a talk with his brother-in-law at around 4:00 a.m. of said tragic day.

The brother-in-law told police that Mark also entrusted his baby to him at that time, without knowing that he would commit suicide. The age of the baby was not disclosed by the police.

An hour after the conversation between the two, it was then that Mark’s body was found by their neighbor hanging on a Melina tree at their residence around 5:00 a.m.

Further investigation is now being conducted to determine the real cause of the suicide.
