Triathlon couple from Baguio among PH representatives in Ironman World Championship

Baguio City, Philippines – A triathlon couple from the City of Baguio will be joined by seven other Filipino athletes in representing the country at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.


The triathletes or those who compete in three events, usually swimming, bicycling, and running, will be led by Jet Carl Langpuyas Ramos from the said city. His wife who is also a National Triathlon Team coach, Lou Ann Hamada - Ramos is among the Philippine delegates.

Last year, Jet was recognized as the fastest Pinoy in Ironman PH Subic.


In June 2023, he clinched the same title and became the first man in the country to finish the race.


Earlier this year, the couple and their sons - Josh, Dash Carl, and Euan Arrow, received a commendation from the city officials for their notable achievements as they represented the city in various triathlon races and events.


Currently, the Ramos family is training in Spain as they brace for the upcoming Ironman 70.3 World Championships slated for August 26 to 27 in Finland.


Next month, Jet will be headed to Nice, France where the Ironman World Championships will be held on September 10.
