Trike driver robbed, then stabbed to death in Cordon, Isabela

Cordon, Isabela – A 55-year-old tricycle driver was found dead with multiple stab wounds early morning of July 17 in Barangay Osmeña, Cordon, Isabela.

The witness said that at 4 AM of said date, the trike ridden by the victim was hired by two women headed to Cordon, Isabela.

The victim drove them to Cordon but was unable to return back since then.

He was only found lying on the ground, a meter away from the road in said area, with stab wounds in various parts of his body, 7 AM of Monday.

Police are suspecting that Roberto Dela Cruz, married and a resident of Santiago City, might have been robbed first before he was killed by his murderers since his tricycle was nowhere to be found when his body was discovered.

At present, police are still conducting a thorough investigation to determine the motive of the crime and unmask the suspects’ identities.

The victim's family, meantime, appeals to the public to immediately inform them of the possible whereabouts of the tricycle, with body number 6532 ridden by Dela Cruz.
