Trike driver in Tabuk draws gun at fellow drivers, gets arrested and charged


Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 36-year-old tricycle driver in Tabuk City was arrested after allegedly pointing his gun at his fellow drivers in Dagupan Centro on Friday, August 12, 2022.


The driver whose name was withheld by the Tabuk City police was reported to the authorities on Friday noon through a text message.


The informant claimed that he and the driver along with others were on standby, waiting for passengers, when the 36-year-old suspect allegedly drew his short firearm from his sling bag and pointed it towards him and fellow tricycle drivers.


The police immediately proceeded to the place of incident where they arrested the suspect and recovered a Cal. 40 pistol with a magazine loaded with 6 live ammunitions.


The man was said to have failed to show a License to Own and Possess Firearms and a license to carry one.


The suspect was charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
