Tuguegarao rider dies after crashing into a parked truck in Larion Alto

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan - A motorcycle rider lost his life over the weekend in a road accident that transpired along the national highway in Barangay Larion Alto, Tuguegarao City.

Police identified the casualty as Rovie Cabrera, a resident in the area.

Reports from the PNP Tuguegarao obtained by the media disclosed that Cabrera was on board a scooter when the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. of Sunday, August 11.

Cabrera was traversing the said road when his vehicle hit a parked trailer truck which is currently being repaired at the time. It was described that said truck was properly parked with an early warning device set up by the driver identified as Lenard Dionson.

The impact caused Cabrera severe injuries. He was rushed by the responding medical team to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC), but he was not able to survive.

Meanwhile, Dionson, the truck driver, was not charged as he and the victim’s family agreed to settle the matter amicably.
