Twins compete for Miss Baguio 2024

Baguio City, Philippines - It’s a battle among 13 equally beautiful candidates this year for the Miss Baguio pageant, but what makes it more special is that twin sisters will be among the candidates who will be vying for the crown.

The Miss Baguio pageant released official photos of the candidates on July 27, to introduce them to the public.

Among the candidates presented were twin sisters – Carla and Tonette Tilap, who are both representing Irisan, Baguio City.

While Carla’s interest is in sports, Tonette, in contrast, is a musician. Being an international Wushu player, Carla has already brought home medals for the country.

She also became an assistant coach during the Palarong Pambansa last year.

At present, she is studying at the University of Baguio, taking up Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Baguio.

Tonette, meantime, has been a choir member, and can play both keyboards and guitar. She also joined Miss Ivadoi 2023, where she placed first runner-up.

She is also a student at the University of Baguio taking Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The official sashing ceremony for the candidates transpired on July 22 at the Baguio City Hall grounds, as witnessed by city officials of Baguio.

The coronation night, however, is yet to be announced.

In recent years, Baguio City’s success in the world of pageantry was observed, starting with the top 10 finish of Ghenesis Latugat in the Miss Universe Ph pageant in 2022, Krisnah Gravidez, Miss Charm Philippines 2023 (resigned) and now Miss World Ph-2024 and Tarah Valencia, Miss Supranational Philippines 2024.
