Two men in their 40s killed in Aurora, Isabela after motorcycle was hit by pick-up

Aurora, Isabela - Two men died from their injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a pick-up truck while they were along the road in Barangay Sili, Aurora, Isabela on Wednesday, August 14.

Police identified the casualties as Jovelito Espiritu, a resident of Cauayan City, and Napoleon Reyno, a resident of Alicia.  The two were both 40 years old.

An investigation conducted by the Aurora PNP revealed that the driver of the pick-up truck encroached on the motorcycle lane, resulting in the collision.

The pick- up driver, identified as Ariel Sarne, 45, and resident of Baguio City said to police that he lost control of his vehicle, thus he ended up in the other lane, and hit the victim’s motorcycle.

As a result of the incident, Espiritu and Reyno sustained severe injuries that caused their untimely passing.

Meanwhile, Sarne will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide if the matter will not be settled amicably.
