Unidentified rider in Tabuk City dies on the spot after crashing against electric post

Tabuk City, Kalinga – An unidentified man died on the spot after his motorcycle crashed against a post while his back rider was injured past midnight this December 8 in Ubbog, Magsaysay, Tabuk City.

According to Punong Barangay Enrique Sagayo, the Motoposh sport the rider was driving crashed against an electric post, which sent him face down on the ground.

Unfortunately, the rider died right there and then due to severe head injury from the impact.

The back rider, identified by the police as a 17-year-old resident of Barangay Dagupan, was injured and rushed by the Bureau of Fire and Protection personnel to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

Based on the initial investigation of the Traffic Management Unit of Tabuk City, the minor couldn’t recall what happened and he was allegedly intoxicated.

The police mentioned that the back rider told them he didn’t know who the rider was since he only asked the man for a ride.

Meantime, the still unidentified rider was brought to the Tabuk Multipurpose Cooperative Funeral Care.
