Unidentified rider killed in head-on collision in Isabela

Cauayan City, Isabela – An unidentified male rider was killed when his motorcycle collided with a J&T Express delivery truck along the national highway in Barangay Nungnungan 2, Cauayan City, Isabela morning of Tuesday, December 6.


The victim was wearing a blue t-shirt with ‘Fly Emirates’ printed on it, with fair skin, over 5 feet tall, in his mid 20s and was riding a black Mio Yamaha motorcycle with a plate number 7420 QQ, police said.

Cauayan police said the rider was traversing the road going to Alicia, Isabela when the accident happened.


According to the driver of the delivery truck, Marcelino Manuel Jr., he tried to overtake a vehicle when he bumped into the oncoming motorcycle ridden by the victim.


The victim reportedly sustained head injuries and a fractured leg, resulting in his immediate death.


Manuel, on the other hand, remained unharmed.


At present, the victim’s cadaver is at the Carbonel Funeral Homes in Barangay San Fermin, Cauayan City.
