Baguio police ask public to help identify thieves who stole over P.3M cash, gadgets from hospital


Baguio City, Philippines - Baguio police are now establishing the identity of the suspects who stole over three hundred thousand pesos' worth of money and gadgets from a hospital in the city.

 

The burglary occurred on Thursday night, February 15, 2024, at the Engineering Office of the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC).


Police reported that the unidentified thieves took P250,000 cash, four laptops, and a cellphone valued at about P80,000.

 

The stolen cash and gadgets were discovered missing by employees who arrived to work on Friday, February 16.

 

An investigation was promptly conducted, during which three latent fingerprints were discovered and are now being examined by the Regional Forensic Unit for possible identification of the robbers.

 

The ceiling of the comfort room of the Engineering office of the said establishment was also found destroyed.

 

For faster identification of the suspects, authorities appealed to the public to immediately report any individuals they encounter selling laptops and cellphones.
