20-yr.old man in Pamplona, Cagayan stabbed to death by his uncle following pool game arguments

Pamplona, Cagayan - Three men, all in their 20s, were playing "pitchas” or Pinoy Pool on the evening of Tuesday, September 10 in Pamplona, Cagayan when an argument broke out between them, leading to a stabbing incident in which one of them was killed.

 

The three were identified as Ritchtofen Baluscang, 22, James Mangrubang, 22, and Francis Mangibunong, 20. They were residents of Barangay Masi, Pamplona.

 

According to the police report, James and Francis had a fight when one of them lost in the said game. Ritchtofen also joined the brawl and decided to call his father upon seeing that James was already losing against Francis.


The father, identified as Rexie Baluscang, 52, took his a 15-inches knife and proceeded to the place. There, he stabbed his nephew, Francis, once in the chest.

 

Francis managed to go home after he was stabbed by his uncle. His family, when they saw his stab wounds, rushed him to a hospital nearby, but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

 

Meanwhile, the suspect, Rexie, who stabbed the victim, voluntarily surrendered to the police. He and his son, Ritchtofen, were both charged with homicide on Wednesday, September 11, and are now at the custodial facility in Cagayan.
