VM Dalayap foresees Tanudan to become 3rd class municipality

Updated: Jun 29, 2023

Tanudan, Kalinga – With the progress being experienced in Tanudan for the past years, Vice Mayor Constancio L. Dalayap conveyed optimism that Tanudan can be soon elevated to 3rd class municipality from its current 4th class town status.

The vice mayor expressed this during the opening program of the 60th Tanudan Founding Anniversary and the 8th Kape Festival on June 24 at Banagao, Poblacion.

Dalayap mentioned the development in the municipality, particularly in infrastructure over the past years. He cited the erection of the Tanudan Municipal Hall in Banagao which was inaugurated on the first day of the festival as an example.

He explained that the building will provide a more efficient and conducive work environment for the Municipal staff, allowing them to serve the needs of the town’s residents better. With the inauguration of the Municipal Hall and further development and progress in Tanudan, it will be attracting potential investors and showcase the town’s commitment to growth.

“As you can see now the municipal hall is already finished but it is not yet the final touch of the project, the finishing of the legislative will complete this plan according to our Municipal engineer,” he said.

This year’s Kape Festival celebration highlighted the theme “Convergence of Cultural Diversity, We Come Together as One YTANUDAN for Peace and Progress.”
