Waterworks system in Pangol, Tanudan completed

Tanudan, Kalinga – The young learners at Sitio Baclayam in Pangol, Tanudan will now have safer water to drink with the completion of the waterworks system located at the Baclayam Elementary School in December 2022.

Tanudan Information Officer John Ryan Awingan said the project was funded through the 20% share of the executive department from the Tanudan Local Government Unit Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA).

Awingan mentioned that Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag prioritized the project in order to address the clamor of the people in the area to have a safer source of drinking water particularly for the pupils.

“Maysa nga in-priority ni mayor daytoy tapnu iti kasta ket adda access iti potable water dagiay kakailyan tayo idiay Baclayam karkaru dagiti ubbing ta importante la unay nga nadalus ken safe iti mainom nga danum,” Awingan relayed.

The Information Officer added that the LGU with its limited IRA is trying to address every barangay’s project proposal, particularly the immediate ones. He explained that many are yet to be funded but he assured that the LGU has already taken note of them and that the mayor is looking for funding from outside.

With the New Year, Mayor Dagadag asked for the continuous support and patience of the constituents of Tanudan. He guaranteed that the officials are working hand in hand towards more progress this 2023.

“Katulungak dagiti Sangguniang Bayan, barangay officials ken dagiti empleyadok, basta agtitinnulong tayo amin para ti constituents tayo ken para ti progreso ti ili ti Tanudan. Adda ti sarita nga, amin nga mayat nga banag, basta agtitinulong ket magun-ud,” he emphasized.
