"We honor your sacrifices.. continue to embody the value of being mentors” – Mayor Pascua to Teachers in Pudtol

Pudtol, Apayao- Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua on Thursday Oct. 3, lauded the teachers for their sacrifices in delivering inclusive and quality education towards community transformation, recognizing their role in shaping learners’ future and in nation building, and for this they deserve love and honor.

The statements of the Mayor came during the celebration of Teacher’s Day in Pudtol where hundreds of teachers enjoyed their time together and the show of love and respect from their students and leaders of their communities.

Mayor Pascua underscored, during the Teachers' Day celebration at the EKB gymnasium, that teachers are fountains of knowledge and paragon of virtues, instilling learning and helping them achieve their dreams.

Pascua also recounted his story as a student and attributed his success to the teachers who nurtured him into becoming a public servant.

"What we are now...our status and achievements in life, we attribute them to our mentors, for guiding us, and imparting knowledge and skills... this World Teachers' Day we honor our teachers' selfless services," Mayor Pascua stated.

"May you (teachers) continue to embody the qualities of a mentor, who consistently provides inspiration, enlightenment and guidance to our children, and learners, for they are the next generations of leaders, who will serve and advance our municipality in the future," he added.

As staunch supporter of quality education, Mayor Pascua affirmed his sustained advocacy for the youth and their development.

The whole-day tribute for Teachers' Day in Pudtol was filled with cheerful performances, highlighting the testimonials from selected public officials who shared their unforgettable learnings imparted by their former schoolteachers.
