Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Kalinga police are probing the shooting incident that killed a man along the Provincial Road in Barangay Appas, Tabuk City on September 8, 2022.

To recall, Sandro Basacoy of Barangay Appas was shot several times by a riding in tandem in the afternoon of said date.

The suspects were said to be wearing mask, helmet, and black shirts and were on board an orange XRM MC.

The victim was ferried to the hospital by the police officer who happened to pass by the crime scene. Unfortunately, Basacoy later died due to hypovolemic shock. He is survived by his three children.

In an earlier interview, Basacoy’s relative said they cannot think of any motive since they know Basacoy as a good man.

On Monday, September 26, the newly installed Officer-in-Charge of Kalinga Police Provincial Office, PCOL Charles Domallig informed Guru Press Cordillera that there are positive developments in the case.

Details, however, cannot be disclosed as the investigation is still ongoing and some leads are best kept under the radar.
