‘Whether you take home the crown or not, you are the pride of Kalinga’ - Gov. James Edduba to Miss Kalinga 2025 candidates

Tabuk City, Kalinga  - Before the announcement of the winner was done at the coronation night, Governor James Edduba recognized the courage of Kalinga beauties who joined the Miss Kalinga 2025 pageant which took place on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Kalinga Sports Center.


“Whether you take home the crown or not, always remember that you are pride of Kalinga,” reminded Edduba, while acknowledging all the candidates for their hard work and commitment, citing that joining a pageant is not an easy feat but requires discipline and extensive preparation.


“Each of you has shown the courage to step onto this stage and showcase not only your physical beauty but also the brilliance of your mind and the strength of your character,” he stated.


The governor continued by highlighting the unique beauty of the iKalinga finest women, while emphasizing that each of them represents the province’s rich culture.


“Indeed, our Kalinga Lagunawa is unique, and each of you is a testament to that. You represent the pride of our province, embodying the richness of our culture and heritage,” he added.


Edduba also shared his hope for the future of the candidates by mentioning that their participation in the pageant would open greater opportunities for them not just on the national stage but also on the international scene.


“Haan nga imposible didjay it can happen,” he added.


The father of the province urged the contestants to carry themselves with grace, confidence, and staying true to the values that define Kalinga—the Paniyaw, Ngilin, and Bain.


The Miss Kalinga 2025 pageant concluded with the announcement of the new title holder, Ms. Fatima Rose Peralta of Lubuagan, among other winners.
