Baguio City, Philippines – The Public Order and Safety Division of Baguio City government is looking for someone who would like to play Prince Charming and do a Cinderella-like search for the owner of a shoe left on their premises Monday, Jan. 23.

On Thursday, local authorities posted the size 38, brand-new left wedge sandal that could have fallen from the owner’s bag.

“We're looking for the owner of this brand new pairless wedge sandal (left pair) that may have fallen off someone's bag at the Treasury Market Division office… sometime after the clock struck 12,” captioned POSD - Baguio City on its post showing the sandal.

“You may bring your Prince Charming who could put the sandal on you... if it fits!” it added.

The post has gone viral with many social media users dropping witty comments and speculations.

“The POSD personnel who found it should be the one to put on the sandal for her or HIM? If the POSD personnel is a certified baak then this calls for a celebration!” a netizen said.

“Plot twist: Ang may-ari niyan ay yung ambulant vendor na inagawan ng paninda,” another commented.

This Sunday, POSD – Baguio City gave the netizens an update, sharing a post of a social media user urging the personnel to do a house-to-house search for she was locked at the attic.

“Maghouse to house kayo! Nandito lang ako sa attic ng bahay. Paano ako makakarating dyan sa Hangar Market eh eyoko palabasin ng aking evil stepmother at stepsisters,” said the netizen whose user name was covered.

The authorities are now for “any Prince Charming out there who wants to do a house to house search to save Cinderella.”

“Looks like the evil stepmother saw our post first and immediately locked her up in an attic! Poor Cinderella, Cruela didn't share the wifi password with her… Paki pin daw yung location para hindi mahirapan maghanap sayo si Prince Charming,” the peace and safety division wrote.

Netizens are waiting for the story’s development.
