Claveria, Cagayan - A mother and her son have been injured and under trauma after they jumped off from the second floor of a house in Cagayan on Monday, June 24 to escape possible death.
The victims were identified as alias “Karla”, 41, and alias “Karlo”, 17. They are residents of Claveria, Cagayan.
Police report revealed that Karla and Karlo were inside their house on said day when karla’s ex-partner cam intoxicated with a bolo threatening them.
Although they were able to lock the door, the suspect kicked it multiple times until it was destroyed.
When the door was opened, the two quickly went up to the second floor of the house, but the suspect chased them so they were left with no choice but to jump.
Their neighbors, when they saw what was happening, informed the authorities who immediately proceeded to the location to apprehend the suspect.
The suspect tried to hide by closing all the doors, but he was caught by the police.
Due to the incident, Karla suffered fractures in various parts of her body and is currently recovering at a hospital, while Karlo’s condition is now stable.
The suspect, later identified as alias “Arthur”, is now in the custody of Claveria PNP and shall be facing multiple charges for violating the Republic Act 7610 or Child Abuse, RA 9262 or VAWC, and the Disobedience of a Person in Authorities.
