Tanudan, Kalinga – Members of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina(KALIPI) in Anggacan Sur will no longer have to conduct their meetings at the barangay hall and other places as they now have their own building.

Said KALIPI building was finished this September 2023 through the 20% Developmental Fund of the Municipal Local Government Unit of Tanudan headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag.

John Ryan Awingan, Information Designate and Executive Assistant to Mayor Dagadag, said that the infrastructure was funded by the LGU so that the KALIPI would have their own space and office to perform their work.

Awingan added that the administration of Mayor Dagadag envisions building a KALIPI building in every barangay in Tanudan, saying that the mayor wants the women group to be comfortable when they do their task of empowering their fellow through livelihood and skills development.

Dagadag, meantime, acknowledged the contribution of the group and their active involvement in community activities.

“Masapul maikkan da dagitoy KALIPI tayo ti importansya karkaru ta very active da, kas makita tayo met nga nu adda activities ken affairs iti barangay ket isuda dagiti maysa nga maaasahan,” he said.
