BFP Baguio led by CINSP Nestor Gorio, Acting City Fire Director, and Members of the Baguio City Police Office- Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team have spent more than three hours recovering the bomb which could cause 300-meter radius damage if not properly secured by authorities.

Personnel of Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) and barangay volunteers have also assisted in the recovery and transfer of the bomb.

Accordingly, this type of bomb has been utilized during the last war in order to destroy dams and bridges. Further, based on its markings, said bomb was used by allied forces against the Japanese during World War II.
