Xander Ford arrested, jailed, but saved from spending Christmas behind bars

Xander Ford begged for forgiveness and promised his ex-girlfriend that he will be a better man next year.

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Social media personality Xander Ford, Marlou Arizala in real life was arrested for acts of lasciviousness and physical abuse, put in jail, but will not spend Christmas behind bars with his expected temporary release today, December 23.

According to reports, Ford’s talent management announced that they plan to pay his P18,000 bail for his temporary freedom today.

The social media personality was arrested evening of December 22 after he was served with warrant of arrest in a restaurant in Pasay City for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Violence Against Women and their Children.

This was filed by his ex-girlfriend against him for alleged physical abuse and attempted rape.

Meantime, in a recorded interview with ABS-CBN, Ford pleads to his former girlfriend saying, “kahit wala akong ginawa, pagsisisihan ko na lang ... Sana maisip mo din, Ysah, sana mapatawad mo ako. Sana magkaayos naman tayo.”

He asked her to discuss the issue with him and promised that in 2021, he will change.

"Pag-usapan natin ito, willing naman akong makausap ka. Pangako ko sa 2021, sobrang laki ng ipinagbago ko,” he said.

"Alam ko naman na masaya ka na ngayon. Alam ko din na okey ka na. Sana maging masaya ka na rin para sa akin. Sana magkaayos na tayo. Nanghihingi ako ng sorry sa 'yo." He added.

Xander Ford was born in 2017, after Marlou Arizala, a member of a boy band called HashT5 whose videos mostly were viral. He underwent surgical enhancement of his nose, chin, eyebrows, eyelashes, teeth, and lips.

His huge transformation shocked the netizens that he became the talk online after his first appearance in Rated K on October 1, 2017. Some appreciated his new look, saying he is really handsome while some still expressed their negative comments.

However, despite his transformation, issues and controversies never left him especially this 2020 when his ex-girlfriend accused him of abuse that his girlfriend sought help from Raffy Tulfo’s program.

“Sinasaktan niya po ako ... Pinilit niya po ako na may mangyari po sa amin. [Raffy: at kapag ayaw mong gawin iyon] sinaktan niya po ako. Fino-force niya po ako tas hinawakan niya po ako sa kamay po ... hinuhubaran niya po ako,” the ex-girlfriend told Tulfo on his Raffy Tulfo in Action program.

He continued to be a hot topic online when he admitted in an Instagram story on July 17 that he is a bisexual.

“I am part of LGBTQ #bisexual,” he posts with a rainbow emoji.
