Yet again, floating shabu discovered in Cagayan waters for the 5th time

Aparri, Cagayan –A floating illegal contraband was found anew in the waters of Cagayan on Saturday, August 17.

Just like the four instances that transpired earlier, the illegal substance found was again marked with Chinese letterings, according to authorities.

It was discovered by a fisherman while fishing on the shoreline of Pamplona, Cagayan.

The fisherman opened the contraband when he got home in Bisagu, Appari out of curiosity and discovered it was a white substance appearing to be a shabu.

He later informed his barangay officials of what he came across. The officials later notified the police of the discovery.

It was forwarded to the PDEA Regional Office 2 in Tuguegarao for a laboratory examination, and following a test, it was confirmed to be shabu.

The substance weighs more or less 1 kilogram and has a market value of P6.8 million.

To recall, the first discovery of such substance transpired in Sanchez Mira on July 29.

A substance of similar kind was found two days later by a fisherman in the waters off Fuga Island, Aparri. The third one was in Naguilian, Calayan while the fourth instance was in the municipal boundary of Ballesteros and Abulug.
