yKabayan, Benguet is 2023 Mr. Culture Global first runner-up

Benguet, Philippines – A nature and youth advocate from Kabayan, Benguet made a name in the international stage after he emerged as first runner-up in the grand final night of Mr. and Ms. Culture Global 2023 held in Jakarta, Indonesia on Friday, June 02.

Jeremiah Bugtong represented Northern Philippines with Jamie Guinsiman who likewise hails from Kabayan, Benguet.

Aside from being a second placer, Bugtong also earned the Mr. Popularity Award. At the same time, Guinsiman made it to the finalists and bagged Best in Evening Gown and Best in National Costume.

Bugtong took to social media to extend gratitude to all his supporters and everyone who had been part of his international journey.

He was crowned Mr. Benguet - Nature during the Benguet’s “Adivay” Festival in November 2022. Guinsiman was his female counterpart.

Tuan Abu of Malaysia won Mr. Culture Global 2023, while Kanika Tong of Cambodia was crowned Ms. Culture Global 2023.
