yKalinga instructor conferred Gawad Tugatog Outstanding Global Educator

While he’s passionate in finding answers to his questions and making discoveries through research, an educator at St. Louis College of Bulanao never expect he would get a citation for it.

Michael Miller Picat, a college instructor and research editor is one of this year’s 6 Gawad Tugatog Outstanding Global Educator awardees.

Gawad Tugatog is award giving body that recognizes exceptional individuals and their outstanding performance in their respective fields such as sports, television, armed forces, law, medicine, education and training among others.

Michael was qualified for the award due to his continuing education through seminars and training sessions and through his diligence and passion in conducting researches. Two of his studies were even published on International Journal of Research Publication and Reviews and SCOPUS.

When asked why he loves conducting researches, Michael shared his stand that research is not just to find answers to questions, it is as well a way to explore new possibilities.

“Research is not only a professional activity, but also a personal journey of learning and discovery,” he further emphasized, adding he finds it rewarding to apply his knowledge in coming up to something and in improving an existing situation.

With the award, Michael conveyed he is more inspired to ‘maintain high standards and creativity’ in his field of specialization.
