yKalinga SEA games medalist comes home to Lubuagan, receives commendation

Lubuagan, Kalinga — Jean Claude Kitong Saclag, the yKalinga gold medalist in kickboxing, personally received commendations for his excellent performance in the 2022 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

Saclag accepted the commendations from newly elected Mayor Joel Tagaotao and former Mayor Charisma Anne Dickpus at the People’s Building, Capitol Hills in Barangay Poblacion on June 28, 2022.

The Local Government Unit of Lubuagan earlier submitted two resolutions congratulating and expressing their appreciation for Saclag for representing the Philippines and for making his hometown, Lubuagan proud.

One resolution was for his winning a gold medal in kickboxing during the 31st SEA games in Hanoi, Vietnam last May 12 -23, 2022. The resolution was passed by the Sangguniang Bayan headed by former Vice Mayor Victor Dickly and approved by Dickpus on June 20, 2022.

The other one was made in 2019 for Saclag’s victory during the 30th SEA games held in the country on December 7-10, 2019.

Saclag’s exemplary performance and contribution in the Philippine Sports, the LGU wrote, set an example and gives motivation to the youth in Lubuagan to go out from their comfort zone and excel in the field they want to pursue.
