‘You can stay in the isolation unit or pay for your hotel’- Tabuk CHO to returning residents

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The City Health Office of Tabuk on Monday, December 21, 2020 said that returning residents of the city can opt for a hotel accommodation if they want comfort but are to pay the cost using their own money.

In an interview by GURU Press Cordillera with a CHO personnel, she said the number of returning residents coming home especially for the holidays is increasing and to avoid complaints from them, they are given options: to stay in a hotel while waiting for the result of their swab test or the isolation unit.

Swab results usually arrive after 3 days of staying in the isolation facility.

“Siyempre nagadu ti nagawid, nagadu ti adda jay facility, napunnun [ket] tapnu awan ti complaint ti tao, nu ag opt da nga aghotel, they can pay for the hotel nu kayat da ti komportable,” the personnel said.

“…awan met ti mai-offer mi nga hotel ta han mi met kaya nga bayadan ti hotel, isolation facility, pakanen mi suda ngem nu kayat ti tao ti komportable ket aghotel da,” she added.

Two hotels in the city are offering accommodation for returning residents, Las Vegas Hotel and Golden Berries Hotel.

As for returning Overseas Filipino Workers, the CHO personnel said Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) should be the ones responsible and are to take charge for their accommodation.

CHO Advisory

· Arrivals on December 21: triaged, swabbed and quarantined at TCNHS, results will arrive on December 23-24. if (-), go home. if (+), go to TTMF for 14 day isolation.

· Arrivals for December 22-23: triaged, swabbed on the 23rd and quarantined at TCNHS, results will arrive dec 25-26. they will celebrate christmas in the QF. if (-), go home, if (+), go to TTMF for 14d isolation.

· Arrivals for December 24,25,26,27,28 will be quarantined in TCNHS for triage and swabbing on dec 28. Result will arrive dec 30-31. if (-) go home. if (+), go to TTMF for 14- day isolation.

· Arrivals for December 29,30,31, jan.1,2,3: quarantine at TNHS for triage and swabbing on January 4. Arrivals on Decemebr 29,30, 31 will spend New year's Eve at the Quarantine facility.

Note: Swabbing is only done on MWF as it is the schedule of bringing samples to BGH.
