Young mom stabbed to death by live-in partner in Paracelis

Paracelis, Mt. Province - A young mother will no longer have the chance to take care of her ailing child after she became a victim of a brutal murder in Paracelis.

Allegedly, due to jealousy, the two engaged in a heated fight, causing her live-in partner to stab her multiple times, leading to her death.

The victim was identified by police as Clexy Ilacad, 26.

She is survived by her 11-month-old baby who needs to undergo a liver transplant.

The suspect, meantime, was named as Rodante Palangdao, 36. The couple resides in Tangngag, Poblacion, Paracelis.

Police claimed the suspect was not intoxicated when he did the heinous crime.

In an interview by XFM Santiago with Paracelis police top official, PCapt. Napoleon Ledchi said that based on investigations conducted, the crime took place at the couple's residence over the weekend.

Palangdao allegedly accused his live-in partner of having someone else, something the victim allegedly denied.

This further angered the suspect, and that was when he allegedly stabbed Ilacad in various parts of her body.

The victim also sustained stab wounds on her neck which police said, was from a long knife.

Relatives were able to rush the victim to the hospital but Ilacad was not able to survive.

As for the suspect, he ran away, urging the victim's relatives to seek help from the public through social media to determine his whereabouts.

He later surrendered to the police, according to a relative of the victim.

The suspect is now under police custody pending the filing of a murder charge.
