“Your future is like a blank canvas… it is up to you to paint it”- Gov. Edduba to 555 student-beneficiaries of educational aid

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Governor James Edduba encouraged 555 student-beneficiaries of educational aid, emphasizing their role in taking charge of their future and shaping it the way they desire, during the distribution of said assistance at the Kalinga Sports Center.

P5,000.00 in cash was given to each of the beneficiaries to help them in their schooling. These are those who belong to underprivileged families but deserving students. The distribution, led by the governor and other provincial officials, took place on Thursday, August 29.

In his message, the governor explained the importance of mindset and planning, saying “Your future is like a blank canvas, and it is up to you to paint it. It all depends on you.”

Edduba likewise emphasized the value of investing in the youth who will be the nation’s next leaders and assured his unwavering support of the province's educational programs.

On the other hand, Antonio Bakilan, the author of the educational assistance and a member of the Educational Assistance Board, stressed the value of education as it empowers Ikalinga youth to uplift their socio-economic condition.

With the provision of educational aid, the PLGU expects that the students will use the cash for its intended purpose and will help them in their studies.

Other attendees at the event include Scholarship Focal Person Danny Guyang, Provincial Legal Officer John Paul Baguiwan, LYDO IV Felix Daladag, Office of the Provincial Treasurer's employees, and various provincial office representatives.
