ySagada general is new Cordillera Police Director


Benguet, Philippines − A general from Sagada, Mountain Province is now set to lead the uniformed men and women in securing and protecting the Cordillerans.


Police Brigadier General David Kang-owan Peredo Jr. formally assumed as the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO-Cor) on March 21 at the Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad.

During the Command Ceremony, Peredo received the Office Symbol of Authority and the Office Property & Equipment Inventory Book from outgoing Cordillera Police Regional Director, PBGen. Mafelino Bazar.


Peredo is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy “TAGAPAGPATUPAD” Class of 1992.


Before getting assigned as the RD of PRO-Cor, the Igorot general served Police Regional Office 5 as Deputy Regional Director for Administration. He was also assigned before at PRO-Cor as the Chief Regional Staff.

Peredo’s plans


Peredo told the media that among his plans for the Cordillera region is increasing police visibility to prevent crime and sustain public safety.


The fight against marijuana and other illegal drugs is also included in his top priorities.


Under his leadership, the new Cordillera top cop likewise assured that PRO-Cor will maintain its reputation as the 'Home of the Most Disciplined Cops’.
